FAQs
What is a lash lift?
This is a unique procedure designed for those who want longer-looking and curled lashes without the use of curlers. The process takes anywhere from 45-60 minutes to complete. See photo below!
Is this a lash perm?
This is not the typical lash perm you may have heard about in the 80s! Historically, lash perms used tiny curlers on your lashes along with a strong solution. The lash lift has come a long way since then; each lash is lifted one-by-one at the root, which allows them to look longer and, well, lifted! The solution is designed to be more nourishing for your lashes.
Should I do eyelash extensions or the lash lift?
If you already have long and thick lashes, then a lash lift can help you have fabulous curl and keep a naturally glam look. The lash lift is great for anyone who is used to applying oil-based products around their eyes or who cannot lay still long enough during the eyelash extension process. Alternatively, eyelash extensions are recommended for anyone who has shorter lashes or is really looking to add thickness or fullness. You are always welcome to do both!
How long does it last?
Most people naturally shed 2-4 lashes a day, so our clients typically come back for the next lash lift in 8 weeks.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Remove all makeup with a water-based remover (you want to avoid all oil beforehand!). Remove contacts or bring your case/solution with you. Book a consultation to have a patch test in advance if you have sensitive eyes. Shower beforehand because you cannot get the lashes wet for 24 hours.
What should I do post-treatment?
Avoid water & saunas for 24 hours! Also avoid rubbing your eyes. We recommend avoiding heavy makeup or facial procedures for 24 hours as well.
Who is this procedure NOT good for?
Clients who have chronic dry eye, conjunctivitis, damaged lashes or lashes with gaps, eye infections, trichotillomania, have recently undergone chemotherapy or have extremely short natural lashes. You need to wait a year after having Lasik or blepharoplasty surgery. For pregnant or nursing clients, we recommend only doing the lift if you have done it previously and know you have no reactions. Chances of reactions are minimal but can occur.
Will it damage my natural lashes?
Absolutely not. Our technicians are highly trained and we use extensively tested formulations.
Can I used it with an eyelash growth serum?
Yep! Your lashes may grow/shed faster but the combination has great results since the serum may make your lashes longer but not add the curl of the lash lift.
Will I love the lash lift?
Yes! We certainly do. Book now here
